My Halloween Poem

šŸŽƒHalloweenšŸŽƒ

I walk around the eerie path,
As i see the decorations of a bloodbath.
I  smell the  delightful aroma  of sweets,
And Very soon kids fill the streets.
House to house is how it goes,
Decorations i feel from head to toes.
I go to everybodies door,
See the lollies with Halloween decor.
I hear the kid screaming their head off,
Until one of them makes a horrible cough
I eat all my sweets not missing a crum,
Halloween was too much fun!

How the Water Cycle Works

How the Water Cycle Works

I am learning to inform my audience through an explanation

By Seihara

Have you ever wondered when you were drinking a glass of water if a dinosaur may have stepped in it? I am guessing you probably did not realise that water is recycled and all the water that is on earth has always been here, therefore a dinosaur could have come into contact with the very glass of water you just drank. The water cycle is a continuous cycle that repeats a number of steps to complete the cycle. If you put water in a closed container and placed it in the sun or add a heat source, you will see the fascinating water cycle. The water cycle repeats three main steps, evaporation, condensation and precipitation. These three steps give us the water we drink every day, the water that you drink could have been in this cycle for years and years. It all begins with the first step, evaporation.

Evaporation: Evaporation is when it is a nice hot day and these little micro droplets change their form from water into water vapour. The water droplets are so small it is physically impossible to see their appearance. Water vapour is water forming a type of gas. This gas is also known as water vapour. It is invisible, unlike other forms which are just clear. Water vapor is very light, so light that it can float in the air. The higher it goes the colder it gets and when the water vapor goes that high, it forms into a little cloud. Therefore leading us to condensation.

Condensation: Condensation is the process of the gas forming into a liquid. When that has happened the water that used to be gas are forming together to get bigger and bigger. Its inflated all the way so the next part has something to do,and the cloud still has the water stored in it so when the cloud gets big enough, that brings us to the next part, precipitation.

Precipitation: Precipitation is when it is a rainy day and you are forced to stay inside so you do not dirty your clothes mum told you to keep clean. When the water drops fall down out of the clouds, it can fall down as rain, sleet, snow or hail. This happens because the capacity of the cloud is limited and is like a balloon popping! And all the water is stored in it so the water all pops out.

Every bit of the cycle makes a big difference. Each part of the water cycle depends on each other. Without evaporation there would be no clouds in the first place? Therefore the water cycle could not continue on to the next stage. Water is something we all need to have in order to live. There are a lot more interesting things around us that we do not notice everyday and are very helpful but underappreciated, but that is a topic for someone else to discover. I bet now you’ll be thinking about this cycle next time you take a drink.

My Accident Story

                                       How I Broke my toe

“Are we there yet?!’’ I said for 100th time. “Yes” Mum replied as I surprised by not getting a no. “BYE MUM BYE DAD!!!” I said happily because I really did not want to be with my sisters. Skip to night time, my friends were telling very...uh...inappropriate ghost stories. We ended up waking everyone up with our laughs. “WOW” my friend Nina said after a very sarcastic joke.

The next morning i was chasing Stephony (another friend) upstairs to were the most messiest room was… THE GIRLS ROOM. I was racing to get to Stephony after she reached a dead end. “TAG!!” I shouted as i rapidly zoomed to the stairs! Then I tripped on a shoe, just saying tripping on a shoe is very painful if you are me! I cried in pain then i was helped out to down stairs by the leaders.

Then the mean girls came, don don don! Of course i'm not going name them! I'll call them a and b. A came up to me with b while my foot was resting on a chair. “ you dont need this chair” A said with B aka sidekick, so anyways, they stole the chair.

Later I went home and my mum took me to starship so she could prove me wrong. When this kid next to me threw up, oh and i got a moon boot.

The moral of my story is to never scatter your shoes around a room.

Persuasive Writing

Today I just finished my persuasive writing piece on Why Animal Abuse MUST be stopped.

“Stupid dog!!” they say. “Why were you born!?!’’ they shout. This happens to THOUSANDS of dogs and cats each year due to how much hate is spread around the world.

There are dog breeders around the world who treat all dogs fairly, and some shove the poor dogs into tiny cages in a basement filled with spiders, rats and mice. These people kill the dogs after what the abusers call “USELESS’’ after having enough pups. The puppies are left there to watch their mother die. In pain

Like this poor puppy.

Cats, who would think cats would get abused, dogs are the only ones. Well no, cats are abused as much as dogs in fact. There have been lots of cases were dogs were abused, but same with cats. There have been moments when they were violently hit by people and one time even duct taped! -Around the poor thing body. And someone unbelievably stuck a screwdriver in a cat’s HEAD!!I’ve seen it on a video. People are careless, horrible and selfish, if you are that kind of a person I have 1 question for you

How does this make you happy?
I don’t understand why people could be so cold-hearted to harmless kittens.Yes kittens. People abuse kittens to just like they do to all baby animals, you can find sad videos online of people saving/hurting these poor kitties.

Everyday the are about 1,000s of dogs and cats dropped out of their homes to be kicked, hit, slapped and chained up on the streets. Some people just don’t think about how it would feel to be chained up on a pole ,when they could be in a calm home with no dogs barking at their face all day. No one knows how horrible it feels to scavenge for food everyday.

Not only do pets get abused but caged tigers, wolves, polar bears and so on are abused a lot to. Channels on youtube like Watch JoJo Animals, Vet Ranch and so on help stop make animals suffer.

And I think that these people do a big part to the community by helping people to understand what really happens in zoos and at home.It also helps to persuade people to do a part in this fight against abusers! So if you think a tiny STOP to an abuser can’t help then, what can?

Reptile Writing

Here is a slide I made for writing. My whole class did their own as part of our information report topic. We had to choose a reptile, and I chose a Berber skink. I chose this animal because I thought they were cute and unknown. I learned a lot from researching this skink.

My Ode

In Room Five we did some odes. Odes are poems about a thing you love/like, and I did my cat and here is my ode.

To my cat

You are the most kindest of all cats,
Oh, how I enjoy the soft silk of your beautiful fur .
When I pat your silky back I feel like the queen of the fur kingdom.
When I see you I feel you are holding my hand wherever I go.

Oh, how I love you kitty!

My Key Slide

Here is one of my explanation slide about how keys work. We wrote this because we were learning about explanation writing. I chose keys because they're so common but people don't know much about how they work.

What Is Onomatopoeia?

In my class we did Onomatopoeia. Onomatopoeia is a thing that you use when you say ''The dishes crashed to the floor." The thing that I have underlined was the onomatopoeia which is the sound of something like boom or crash which is all so known as sound affects.  We learnt this because it is important to know how , when , and why people might use them.
